In the evenings, we ask our guests to dress appropriately in bars and restaurants. Therefore, no swimwear, flip flops, sleeveless shirts or sportswear are allowed. Gentlemen are also asked to wear long trousers or smart shorts for dinner. In order to make the Gala Dinners on December 25 and 31 a memorable occasion for everyone, gentlemen are kindly asked to wear elegant long trousers and a jacket or a tie.
The Origen restaurant is open according to the season and the occupancy. When closed we offer the following: breakfast and dinner services will be served in the Food Market restaurant in the area set aside for Esencia guests. At dinner, in addition to the buffet meal, Esencia guests will have the option of ordering meat or fish served at the table.

Starting 10/02/23 the Origen Restaurant at the Esencia Hotel in La Palma will temporarily close.
Breakfast and dinner services will be served at the Food Market Restaurant in the area designated for guests of the Esencia Hotel. At dinner, apart from the buffet food, Hotel Esencia guests will have the option of ordering meat or fish served at the table.

Very relaxing hotel
It is a very relaxing hotel with good food and very nice employees and location. I had a great time there.
The line at the Origen restaurant is too long for the coffee machine for the breakfast.

Quite beautiful but I feel they should use free range eggs in their restaurants.
Everything. It was quite beautiful the only downside was that they don’t source free range eggs. Surely a hotel like this can promote themselves as animal friendly.

Wonderful
The hotel is in a sunny and quiet location, offering great facilities to relax and have fun.
Churros in the Foodmarket restaurant were great, but in Origen absolutely terrible, on one morning even seemed that some leftover oil from fries was used for churros. Please fix that!!! The sheets during our 10 day stay were never changed, evethough visibly dirty. Sometimes leftover food was served in the restaurants. In the morning of December 24, the breafast in Origen had only stale bread. Really not enjoyable, particularly considering the crazy prices for the few nights over Xmas that the hotel charged. The hotel offers different interesting facilities, but the reception provides only very limited information on this upon arrival (including in the leaflet and app). Essentially one has to go around and ask to get any understanding how things work. The heated pools are only marginally warmer than the others at best, so still very cold. Not sure what was the point of the Christmas dinner on the 25th of December - the arrangment was very stressful, in the end very short time to have dinner, and the food was less tasty than usually. Including drinks was not that much of a bonus for a teetotaler. The meat and fish selection in Origen was great, but the salad bar was rather disappointing. Not easy to have a really healthy meal. The food selection in the Mirador seemed to consist mostly of junk food unfortunately. On colder/windier days Origen is rather cold, as all doors are open creating draft, plus still fans in the ceiling. Not easy to relax by the pool area as the music in Coral bar is very partyish and loud.
